Welcome to the
A message from our President
On
behalf of the 2012 Executive, I would like to thank all Nobles for the
honour you have given to and the trust you have bestowed on us.
The Shrine has been described as the playground of Masonry, dedicated to fun and fellowship with a purpose. Fun for our Club includes can crushing on Mondays, sing-a-longs and games with the Hillbillies on Wednesday mornings, Pig Roasts, Spaghetti Nights, Harvest Balls, and throughout the year; parades, ceremonials, and Rameses’ functions in Toronto. Fellowship comes with our Evenings On Elm Street, --- and ‘Yes, others are being planned’ ---, our Friday lunches, our annual Fall get-together with the Haweaters, our Special Ladies’ Nights and our reciprocal visits to other Shrine Clubs --- which we are planning for again this year.
As Masons, we have the opportunity to share this fun and fellowship with non-Shrine brethren and invite them to join our World’s Greatest Philanthropy. Our Potentate, Illustrious Sir David Dunn has challenged us this year to add one new member for every ten existing members. Currently we have seven candidates in the wings for the 2012 Spring Ceremonial in Orillia. Better than a third of the way to the Illustrious Sir’s goal, let’s “Git-Er-Dunn”! Better still, let’s “Double Our Fun By Doubling The Number”!
And, while we’re bringing in new members and having them become actively involved, let’s not forget our older brethren who haven’t been out for a while. If you are aware of one who hasn’t been able to get out, would you please give him a call and invite him to our next meeting. If he has transportation problems, could you offer him a lift?
We’re told that “No one stands so tall as one who stoops to help a needy child.”. Working together as Nobles and Ladies, new and old, we each can be “Proud To Be A Shriner”.

Who Are Shriners?
A brotherhood of men...dedicated to fun and fellowship...but with a serious purpose.
Shriners are distinguished by an enjoyment of life and a commitment to philanthropy.
They enjoy parades, trips, dances, dinners, sporting events and other social occasions.
They support what has been called the "Worlds Greatest Philanthropy," Shriners Hospitals for Children, a network of 22 paediatric specialty hospitals, supported and maintained by Shriners.
For all children, up to 18 years of age, may be eligible for treatment at Shriners Hospitals if they, in the opinion of the Hospital's chief of staff, could benefit from the specialized care available at Shriners Hospitals.
Eligibility is not
based on financial need or relationship to a Shriner.
If you know a child with orthopaedic disabilities or suffering from
severe burns Shriners Hospitals might be able to help, call one
of our toll-free patient referral lines between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
